We just wanted to sincerely thank you both for creating an amazing first meal as husband and wife for us at our wedding last month at Adams Peak. The food was absolutely beautiful, and we have received so many comments from our friends on how good it was and how much everyone enjoyed it! The main compliment we keep getting is how good the lamb was and how it just fell apart. One guest can’t stop raving about the arancini balls and her husband is italian.

So a huge thank you to you and your team for helping to make our big day so special! You have been so easy to work with right from the start and were quick to answer any questions we may have had. Thank you to your wait staff as well as they did a great job on the day. In particular there was one lady (and I can’t remember her name now) but she was so good at looking after my niece and nephew with their food at the start and also helping the guests who were vegan and coeliac, so if you know who we are talking about please pass on our deepest thanks.

We would definitely use you again and would highly recommend you to anyone who asks.

I just wanted to say thank you to you and your team for your contribution in making our wedding such an amazing weekend. We have gotten so much feedback on the food saying it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding.

You can officially say ‘I told you so’ to my mum, there was definitely more than enough food, I don’t think we needed half those cheese boards! Regardless, everything from the canape chest to the brunch on the Sunday was impeccable, so thank you again.

I thought we would be a bit sad that the day is over but I think because to us everything was so perfect we wouldn’t want to do it again because I don’t think it would be able to top the day that it was! So one last time, thank you 🙂

When we met 18 months ago we challenged you with our unique concepts and wanting to create something different for our guests. Even though due to the weather we didn’t get to execute our full plan we appreciated your flexibility to change things for us at the last minute. On reflection, we so happy to have the dinner in the barn as opposed to on the grass. The canapés on the front lawn was really just a highlight for us as this was the one thing we really wanted.

Following the tasting we knew that the food would be perfect for our wedding. As the bride & groom we generally don’t get to eat much but from what we did have was just truly excellent (even better than the tasting, which we don’t even know how that was possible!). Having been in the industry ourselves for over 13+ years combined and planned countless weddings, we can say that your food was truly the best in both taste and uniqueness we’ve experienced. We wanted to give our guests a taste of the hunter valley along with providing a unique dining experience and you and the team delivered that to a standard that was truly well above our expectations.

6 weeks on we are still receiving so many compliments about how delicious and unique the food was. For many people this was the highlight as it was just something not only different but exceptional in taste. Everyone has different favourites from the night which again shows just how excellent every piece of food was. My dad never having eaten duck before I think about ate half of the platter! The food stations were definitely a hit also as for many of our guests this was a first. To be honest we were just expecting a couple of trestles but again you took it to the next level by building the cooking stations into those rustic bar’s. It’s the details like this that we really cannot thank you enough for the role that you played in our special day. In particular Greg and many guests commented on the PERFECT cooking of the calamari and prawns. Greg is probably one of the toughest critics I know for cooking seafood and meat to perfection so well done to the team on this.

The food in our eyes is the most important aspect of the wedding and to make our wedding as incredible as it was it really came down to you and the team for the food and if it wasn’t for you I can assure you people wouldn’t still be talking about it.

We don’t want to forget the brunch also as we cannot believe you specially ordered those pastries. The brunch food looked and tasted amazing. It was the perfect post-wedding brunch.

Words can really not thank you and the team at Monkey Place catering enough for everything you did for our wedding and giving us and our guests the best memories of the day. You truly deserve all the praise you receive and more.

There is really only one word to describe Monkey Place Caterings food, WOW! I was married in August 2016 and Ben and his team blew all of our guests away with how amazing the food was. I had so many comments from guests on how delicious it all was and it was the best meal that they had ever had at a wedding! The only thing that may outshine the food is Ben himself, his kind nature and amazing passion for food shines through in every conversation that you have with him.
